Just waiting for Aaron to drop by so we can head to UNLV for some stupid opera we need to see for our Music Appreciation class. "Gallantry and the Telephone" is the title. I can't wait! (sarcasm)

For some unknown reason my site/email were both up, but I could not access the server to update anything...strange.
Anyhow, I did some updates in the dev sections.
Redwings just won game 2, and are up 2 games to 0 already.

All around me everything and everyone seems to be pissing me off. Morons on Vegasgoths (James). Morons on Electrogarden. Morons at UNLV. When will it end?
The only redeeming quality of tonight was that Aaron's alter-ego Mike Ricci scored the first goal and the Sharks beat the Avalanche. God I fucking hate the Avalanche.

Hey wow, it's later...
Conference Semi-Final Matchups/Predictions
Eastern Conference:
(3) Carolina Hurricanes vs (8) Montreal Canadians
This could be an exciting series, only because both teams are mediocre. Jose Theodore needs to play like he did during the regular season or else he's going to lose to Carolina's tandom of Irbe/Weekes. This one is anybodies series, but I dont think it will be close whoever wins.
Prediction: Carolina, 4 games to 2
(4) Toronto Maple Leafs vs (7) Ottawa Senators
Ottawa has a few days rest over Toronto and they have the hottest goalie in the playoffs. If Lalime shuts down Toronto like he did Philly...then this one will be a quick series. This one could break down to a goalie dual if Cujo finds his game like in years past. If Lalime's last round wasn't a fluke, Toronto will be in a world of hurt. I dont think he'll be able to do it, and in the end Toronto will be able to light the lamp quite often.
Prediction: Toronto, 4 games to 2
Western Conference:
(1) Detroit Redwings vs (4) St. Louis Blues
The top 2 teams of the central division. The only way for the Blues to win is for Brent Johnson to continue to play like he did in the last round. Considering his regular season and his shaky past, I doubt he will....especially considering the Red Wings have the best offense in the playoffs and the 'Hawks didn't know how to score. Hopefully Detroit will be able to dominate this series.
Prediction: Detroit, 4 games to 1 (this is opitimistic, it could go all 7)
(2) Colorado Avalanche vs (3) San Jose Sharks
Evgeni Nabokov has to beat Patrick Roy. Had this been earlier in the season when Colorado couldn't score then this series could have been close. Roy has been a bit inconsistant and they are coming off a long, physical series with Los Angeles. While I'm pulling for the Sharks and I think they have the tools to advance, I just dont see them beating Colorado.
Prediction: Colorad, 4 games to 3
For all you people who whine about hockey. Fuck you.

The final game of the Stanley Cup's Conference Quarterfinals has just finished, so here is a breakdown of what happened as well as my picks for the next round.
My prediction results:
Overall winners: I was 5 for 8. There were 3 upsets that screwed up my plan!
Exact Win/loss: I was 4 for 8 here, I was right on how many games it would take for half of the teams to win...not bad.
Just a note overall...I was 4 for 4 in the west overall, and 3 for 4 on the win/loss. I am much familiar with the western conference.
Quarterfinal Winners:
(8) Montreal Canadians defeat (1) Boston Bruins 4 games to 2
A big upset here. I didn't see this one coming. The motivational comeback of Saku Kouivu really sparked Montreal here. There was also a serious injury to Montreal's Richard Zhetnik which pissed off alot of people.
(7) Ottawa Senators defeat (2) Philadelphia Flyers 4 games to 1
Philadelphia SHOULD have won this series easily. But Patrick Lalime had other ideas. He tied a 50 year old record by recording 3 straight shutouts. The Flyers set an all time record for LEAST goals scored in a 5 game playoff series. Absolutely pathetic. The Flyers coach was fired today, making him the 5 in 7 years. Too bad the problem is their General Manager Bobby Clarke...
(3) Carolina Hurricanes defeat (6) New Jersey Devils 4 games to 2
Another frickin upset, and the last of the games I was wrong about. I thought Arturs Irbe would be the key for Carolina, and he was for the 1st 2 games. New Jersey chased him the 2nd 2 games and the Carolina backup was called in. Weekes shut down New Jersey during the last 2 games.
(4) Toronto Maple Leafs defeat (5) New York Islanders 4 games to 3
Not anything special in this series, just a lot of back and forth battling like I thought. Went the full 7 like I thought, and the Leafs pulled it out in the end.
(1) Detroit Redwings defeat (8) Vancouver Canucks 4 games to 2
It scared me when my team (detroit) lost the first 2 games of the series, even though I figured they would struggle in the beginning. The turning point you might ask? How about the 90 foot goal allowed by Dan Cloutier on Lidstrom's shot with less then a minute left in the 2nd period of game 3. He was never the same, being pulled in games 5 and 6 after horrible performances. Detroit found their game on that shot, and won the next 4 games in a high scoring fashion and Dominic Hasek recording a shutout in game 5. I was right on both of this games predictions.
(2) Colorado Avalanche defeat (7) Los Angeles Kings 4 games to 3
Another series I went 2 for 2 on predictions with. This series was surprising similar to last years matchup between these 2 teams. Colorado took a 3-1 series lead before Felix Potvin stole two games to force a game 7. Peter Forsbergs return was a big boost to Colorado's offense, and Patrick Roy was big in game 7.
(3) San Jose Sharks defeat (6) Phoenix Coyotes 4 games to 1
The other series I was 2 for 2 on. San Jose completely dominated Phoenix. Had it not been for the lackluster performance in game 1, the Sharks could have had an extra days rest.
(4) St. Louis Blues defeat (5) Chicago Blackhawks 4 games to 1
I figured the Blues would beat the 'Hawks, just not like this. Game 1 was an excellent, hardfought battle that was Chicago's only victory. After that, they forgot how to score. In a shocking turn of events, Brent Johnson tied that same 50 year record Patrick Lalime had tied the day before by recording HIS third straight shutout. 5 goals in 5 games will not win you a series.
Check back later for the next round predictions....

Ah yes, Insomniac is funny.
Somehow Dave managed to wonder into some house where a LAN party was taking place with a bunch of high schoolers. He mocked them of course and started making crude jokes with the parent whose house it was. Later on the street someone asked him about why in an all girl porn scene when a girl straps one on and another girl goes down and simulates giving a blow job, does the girl "recieving" fake like she's getting excited.
Interesting...
