I'm glad to see others are equally annoyed by the new Apple "Switch" commercials.

James Davis, the Albin0, is back in town for good now. He got in Wednesday afternoon and we hung out about. Typical night, food, pool, talking. Tonight we went to Memphis Championship BBQ and then saw Road to Perdition which is an outstanding flick. The best movie I've seen since A Beautiful Mind. We played some air hockey afterwards and proceeded in the direction of Aaron's house. We called him on the phone as we were pulling into his subdivision and we talked with him up until we met at the door...phones in hand. Turns out Aaron didn't go see the croc hunter movie like he said, but he got his Xbox instead. Kia grew bored of the games they rented so we went to 7-11 and Blockbuster to get slurpees and different games. We grabbed Bloodwake (or something) which sucked and Hunter: The Reckoning (which is good since we've played it with Chris). When we popped in the dvd though we didn't pay attention and were shocked when it was NHL Hitz. Now for me that's great. I finally am able to get these guys into hockey. Even better is they really loved the game. It was hysterical. But I had to kick their asses. Aaron called Chris (who was at work) and he ended up showing up later with Kristyn and his xbox. We played some Fuzion Frenzy and Halo. Now I write this.

Kyle got back from Florida Thursday night. I dont know if he bowled good or bad, but he was 105 out of 700+ bowlers if that means anything.

I can understand why Trent Reznor and John Carmack would be in a picture together. But Robin Williams as well? I wonder what else I missed at e3.

SNL Weekend Update featuring Kris Wilke...

Blah I've neglected posting this weekend. So here is a little recap of some stuff.

Friday night I headed over to Aaron's. After we both failed to figure out Lynda's IE bug, Jeremy asked if wanted to go to Cyberzone. So A-dawg and I caught up with Jeremy and Ian over at cyberzone where we played Jedi Knight II. Ian was the only one who had played it before but we all played about the same. There was a funny black guy there who thought he was god. He kept coming over and pestering Ian. He was amusing...but annoying. At the 7-11 by Cyberzone they had Vanilla Coke Slurpees. Granted they aren't as good as the Creme Soda ones, but it's about time they got a decent new flavor. I'm sick of this crap with 27,000 Mountain Dew flavors. Sam showed up sometime while we were playing, and we ended up heading back to their place to hang for a few hours. I was lost in the conversation, but we had popped in the Space Balls DVD, so I was content.

Saturday...blah boring day. Nothing much happened except I rented a few videos and only watched Black Hawk Down. I enjoyed the film, but a few things bugged me. First off, the text explaining details of the mission and such were impossible to read. The editing crew made them so tiny that they characters actually blurred over itself and there was no way of seeing what they said. Secondly, Black Hawk Down won the Academy Award for best editing. But their editing crew ran alot of film through backwards. Since there aren't any signs or documents to read they must not have noticed. But the flags on the soldier's arms were backwards in half the scenes. It's a minor detail, but it was something that I couldn't help but keep noticing.

Today was about the same. Except I washed my car, vaccuumed it out, and waxed it. I think the waxing was a waste. Oh well. Tonight we watched another of the videos I rented...Vanilla Sky. From the previews and the cast, I didn't think I would like it. I don't care much for Penelope Cruz, and Cameron Diaz just pisses me off. But I do like Jason Lee, so things sort of evened out. Luckily the film was great. Unlike Mulholland Drive, this film actually has some sense of closure.

Kyle is in Florida for some bowling tournament until Thursday.

Tomorow I get paid. W00t. I've been trying to work on a site for Jimmy. 2 of the designs I did I can't stand. The 3rd one that I'm still fiddling with and will finish tomorow has some real promise. If Jimmy doesn't use it, I might use it for this site.

There is this 120gb external usb 2.0 harddrive I want to get. Then I can backup all my mp3's and stuff, take it between computers (or to work), and finally clean my stuff up so I can dump Win ME from this machine. Win ME is the biggest pile of garbage ever. I rather enjoy talking to someone online or working in Photoshop and having my system completely lock for no reason. Then after I reboot have it crash again before I can even open an application. Microshaft.
