I hate Cox so fucking much. Lynda messaged me around 11, and I tried to respond but my cable went out. Ok no big deal...reset modem...lights are blinking properly...nothing. Hrmm...restart machine. Nothing. Try to redetect network settings...nothing. So I figure maybe Cox is just gay. So I go watch tv for an hour and try again. Nothing. After figuring out how to get to my IP settings (stupid winipcfg doesn't work in xp I guess, or if it does my machine is gay). Somehow it had renewed my IP to some weird 167. number. For the 4 years or whatever back when it was Prime Cable I've always had at 24. ip. So I release it and renew...back to my 24. ip and now my internet works. Stupid gay shit cox. I dont know how that happened...but it did it on Kyle's machine as well. It's not a virus or somethign we got either, since our machines aren't even networked together....

Anyways...

James says AT&T has great customer service and they are reliable. That's great I guess. Although they've put me through a week of bullshit. Signup on their site for a wireless plan. Get a confirmation saying they've get back to me in 1 business day to confirm everything. 3 days pass and nothing. So I call them only to hear they had JUST gotten my order and it will be process the next day. Next day passes, and the following night at 8:10 I get an email saying they need me to call them to confirm my order. Cool thing was that their hours were until 10pm CST...10 minutes to late. So I called them today. Confirm my order, hah, what bullshit. They wanted me to give them an $800 deposit for a plan that was worth about $360.

So I ordered from T-Mobile. The reason AT&T wanted $800 was because I do not have established credit. Understandable...but $800?? Wtf. T-Mobile didn't bullshit my order. As soon as I clicked submit it came up saying I was ineligble creditwise for that plan, and they have a more reasonable solution. I get the same exact plan I was attempting to order, except the activation fee was a little bit higher and they had an added clause in the terms. Basically if I let my account go above $150 I would forfeit the rest of the plan. No big deal...I dont plan on going 3-4 months without paying my bill.

Hopefully by Tuesday or Wednesday I'll have my phone, Friday at the latest.

Tomorow I fail my first MAT 182 test. I think Physics fucked me up for this one. I was worried to much about that to actually study for this test. At least this one will only count for 10% (unless I do adequately on this and bomb another). Next one I'll definetly have down.

Damn this general apathy towards UNLV though.

Oh well, already dropped Physics. In the end I'm sure it will be the right decision. The lab seems extremely tedious and the class is going to be to time consuming, especially when also dealing with calc 2 and assembly language. But with my change in major focus, I dont even need Physics. Any lab science will do. So chemistry may be the way I go...over summer.

Still playing a lot of Frequency as you might expect, epiphany and all, but I unlocked a song on the first stage by a band called Freezepop that I like a lot. They have a few tracks on their own site, as well as MP3 Dot Com - it's goofy, feel-good synthesizer pop that operates on the brain like a serotonin reuptake inhibitor.

Of course now I'll have to figure out where I can download the demo of Frequency which he was playing...

Since I just got my Credit Card I dont have established credit. Therefore AT&T (and others I assume) will not allow me to purchase a cellphone plan without putting in a deposite. No big deal right? To bad they want an $800 deposit that they will refund in 6 months. So they want me to make a deposite that is more then twice as much as the plan itself? Fuck that shit.

In other news, Kyle is a bigger asshole then ever and UNLV won a football game!
