Hah...apparently I really am a jinx. When I told Aaron I wanted to go to Kaos Kafe, it closed down that week. The next time a club closed down I had just been talking about wanting to go. Thursday I was joking with Aaron about how everytime I finally decide I'll go to one of the stupid clubs, it closes. So I laughingly said I want to go to Halo on Friday. I wasn't serious, but Friday they had no club night. It should be back next week though, but only because I didn't really want to go...damn I'm freaky...or stupid...I think I'll go with stupid.Friday, December 13, 2002
The semester is over...finally. I wonder how great that quarter system actually is. It would be nice to only have to sit through a class for 9 weeks or so and be done with it. At UNLV its just painful sitting through crappy classes...Wednesday, December 11, 2002
ESPN is showing this show about UFC and mixed martial arts as a sport or spectacle. They had a segment on how in 1996 John McCain started his campaign against it. Everytime they mentioned it ever being to brutal, they would show clips of Toto pounding on Ken Shamrock's face. Bastards...Monday, December 09, 2002
Arizona was fun. The place we spent the night was a Red Roof Inn right next to the exit we got off at into Tempe. It just happened to be next to a giant Krispy Kreme distribution building. Needless to say Sunday morning smelled great...Anyhow, the area where we were was right near Sun Devil Stadium and ASU. Tempe is a neat little college town, which made me realize how much Vegas can suck...but at the same time point out the good things about Vegas. The worst part of Tempe was the abundance of Circle K's and lack of 7-11's. Uncivilized bastards! Saturday night James and I saw Solaris at a local theatre. I just don't know what to think about Solaris. It wasn't necissarily boring, but I just didn't pull anything meaningful out of it. I have an idea of what the movie was trying to do, but no...it just didn't. The game itself was better then expected...even though they had a record low turnout for the game, less then 30,000. Less then 30,000 is great for a pro team in a college stadium that holds over 60,000. Ahahahaha. Man the Cardinals have drawing power I tell you! The Lions got screwed out of the game by some whack officiating rules and ended up losing in overtime by a crappy Gramatica field goal. Had Detroit's kicker not kicked on wide right earlier in the game Detroit would have won. After the game we grabbed a Whataburger...which was surprisingly good. James likes Kompressor. It's strangely addicting for him. I guess he has been corrupted. But he did get us within 200 miles of Los Angeles...not good when driving from Phoenix to Vegas. Jackass missed an exit, but disaster was averted and somehow we only lost 30 minutes getting back.
