Finally got a chance to see Insomnia. Damn fine film. Christopher Nolan is the shit. Lots of little things he does with camera work that I really like. Plus the fact he used David Julyan again (also did Memento) for the sound, which I really noticed this time. The compositions fit in nicely with alot of the scenes and they weren't just random noise like so many movies now adays.

The Fiesta Bowl was entertaining, but only because both teams played pretty poorly. There were so many turnovers it was laughable. The fact that it went to overtime and Ohio St. won only proves that no one deserves a national title. But i'm glad the Big 10 won!

New Years was good. Colt, James, Aaron/Kia, and I went to Outback. Sure there was an 1 1/2 wait but that didn't stop us. Aaron/Kia had no interest in doing anything else so Colt, James, and I went back to Colt's to drink! Xbox, Gamecube, and Television was in order for the evening. James didn't last 2 hours, grabbing "Pukie" at about 10:30. James is such a lightweight. Goddamn hysterical. Adult Swim and Insomniac were on. More drinking. More Xbox. 3:30 am. Colt already went to bed. James and I play another game of Madden and he goes to bed. I wanted to see the Outback bowl because Michigan was playing Florida at 8am. Sleeping was not going to work or I'd never get up so I entertained myself with more NHL 2k3. I think I figured out the trick in scoring because I had 10-0, 15-0, 19-0, and 17-0 scoring games.

Michigan, as if there was any doubt, won the Outback bowl 38-30...thanks to one of the most retarded play call's I've ever seen by Ron Zook of Florida. Although the true turning point in the game was when the Gator's went for a 2-point conversion early in the game. TMQ sighs as the football gods punish Zook for the playcall, allowing the Wolverines to march to victory!

In an interesting sidenote, I don't think our Outback gathering was nearly as fun as the Michigan/Florida one....
They consumed 700 steaks, 400 lbs of chicken breasts, 700 baked potatoes, 400 racks of ribs, 225 lbs of lettuce, 60 lbs of butter, 50 lbs of sour cream, 60 cheese cakes, 54 cases of sodas and 1,100 rolls.

Does anyone else find the idea of "eternal life" through whatever medical advancement or cloning a bad thing? Sure it sounds good, but our birth-to-death ratio is already out of proportion and our population is steadily increasing. What happens when people no longer die?

Cox is retarded in a good way. They still haven't seemed to cap my connection properly and I've actually gotten a slight increase in speed as of late. I'm supposed to be at 3mb down and 256kb up....however I had been closer to 4mb down and 350kb up. Now I'm well over 4mb down and averaging around 500kb up. It's fun playing MOA with like a 15-20 ping and uploading alot faster then I should.

The other day James, Aaron, Singer, LJ, Kia, and myself went to see Catch Me If You Can. It wasn't that bad but it didn't live up to my expectations. LJ, James and I ended up going to shoot pool afterwords. Aaron, James and I have been Xboxing it up as of late. Playing some Mortal Kombat, Serious Sam, NHL 2k3, NFL 2k3, Legends of Wrestling 2, and now Conflict: Desert Storm. We're on a mission to go through and beat C:DS so it should prove to be entertaining for awhile.
