I have this stabbing pain in my right knee. Normally when my knee(s) hurt I think nothing of it. But goddamnit it normally isn't a pain like this. Make it stop!

As promised....recaps of the previous few days.

Last night was a late birthday celebration for Jeremy and Ian. A bunch of us got together at Joe's Crab Shack, where we waited for about an hour, to celebrate. Sam, Jeremy, Ian, Dani, Lynda, Aaron, Kia, Brian, myself, and 2 girls whose names I never really caught. Joe's Crab Shack is a shitty place. Service is eh, food was crappy, and the atmosphere isn't entertaining or lively...it's annoying. However it was still fun, because Brian had a mallet. Crackers and squid were thrown. Squid were then skewered and made into a para-military group. The squid had many adventures through the air, on the table, on the floor, on Aaron, and then they were tragically ended by Ian who stole them and ate them. He was fine until we told them they had touched Aaron. In any event, a few hours later and we were standing in the parking lot. More semi-trivial conversation was had to amuse us, Kia running into Brian, Brian trying to grab me in a bad place, Aaron getting knocked down stairs like a fairy, and Kia beating up Aaron like usual. The party was moved to one of the previously mentioned girls apartment (which shares the location of Sam/Jeremy's) minus Ian and Brian. There we watched a stupid ass movie called The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. The only thing more disturbing about how bad/lame this movie was is the fact that Robin Williams and Uma Thurman were in it. But after further investigation it's by one of the people from the Monty Python crew and the guy directing it also did 12 Monkies....ugh it still sucked. Aaron, of course, fell asleep.

Earlier in the day James and I went to Collonade to see "Adaptation". Man that was a good movie. Especially neat were some of the recreated "on-set" scenes from Being John Malcovich and the car accident scenes. There was some flat out fucked up things with this movie that just made it so cool. Excellent indeed!

From Mon-Wed James and I finished watching Taken. Even though it took us 4 days to watch it the series seemed to go by incredibly fast. I don't know if I can explain it in a way to do it justice or to at least get across the scale of the series. The only thing wrong was that coming into the final episode you sort of knew how it was going to end.

Thursday, the Redwings beat down the Avalanche.

On Sunday I went to see 25th Hour with James, Ben, Scott, and LJ. 25th Hour was actually really good like I hoped it would be. Great movie about the choices people make and the effects/outcomes of said choices. Had some interesting scenes and sequences relating to the 9/11 and the WTC stuff although it seemed out of place....like Spike Lee just wanted to have the first movie out that directly related to those things. Anyhow...it was a good movie.

James and I also started to watch the 10 part, 20 hour Steven Spielburg produced "Taken". We got through the first 5 parts already and it was absolutely nothing like I expected to be. It's damn entertaining though. Can't wait to see how it ends.
