Well hockey has completely gone against all logic now. Both #1 seeds lost, both #3s, and Detroit lost. Detroit lost a 4 1/2 hour triple overtime game on a piece o shit lucky goal too.

Just when I thought I had money, it's taken all away from me by the IRS. $757 in taxes. What the shit is that all about?? They apparently like to give it to self-employed people right up the hershey highway!

Had Panda Express last night. So tasty. Hung out with Taylor too.

Today is Thursday, but not just any Thursday. Today is the start of the Stanley Cup playoffs for Detroit. Game starts in about an hour. Time to shave one last time for what will hopefully be 2 months!

This morning I was rudely awaken by my dog who was barking at Kyle and his girlfriend at 8am. No goddamn respect. For the record, yes 8 doesn't seem that early. But considering I wasn't in bed until 4ish...

Monday I went to the mall and Diary Queen with Taylor. Fun stuff.

Covenant and Melotron are doing a show together in Hollywood a few days after the semester is over (May 20). I wouldn't mind seeing them, considering how much I liked both of their latest stuff. It's only $25, but then again it is also 4-5 hours away. Anyone care to go?

Its that time again, Stanley Cup playoffs baby! My favorite time of the year. To get ready for Wednesdays start, here is my breakdown of the opening matchups:

Eastern Conferance

(1) Ottawa vs. (8) NY Islanders
Who will win: Ottawa
Who I want to Win: Ottawa
Series Prediction: Ottawa 4-0
Why: Best regular season team vs the worst of all playoffs teams.

(2) New Jerseyvs. (7) Boston
Who will win: New Jersey
Who I want to win: New Jersey
Series Prediction: New Jersey 4-1
Why: Best defense in the league and far more playoff experience on NJ's side.

(3) Tampa Bay vs. (6) Washington
Who will win: Washington
Who I want to win: Tampa Bay
Series Prediction: Washington 4-2
Why: Tampa Bay is higher seed only because of weaker division. Washington is a bigger scoring threat.

(4) Philadelphia vs. (5) Toronto
Who will win: Toronto
Who I want to win: Toronto
Series Prediction: Toronto 4-3
Why: Teams are farely evenly matched, but Flyers wont be able to score against Belfour.

Western Conferance

(1) Dallas vs. (8) Edmonton
Who will win: Dallas

Why: Edmonton is almost as bad as the Islanders, Dallas is to powerful.

Ugh, today has been a shitty afternoon for hockey. Detroit needed to win today to take 1st place in the Western Conferance for the playoffs. So what do they do? Lose in overtime, thus letting Dallas finish with 1 more point then Detroit. To make matters worse, somehow the Avalanche jumped passed Vancouver into 3rd place, even though Vancouver was so far in front of them it wasn't even funny. Now instead of Colorado playing St. Louis in a tough 1st round, they get the shitty Minnesota Wild. To complicate matters Detroit and Colorado will likely meet each other in the second round. Trivial bullshit stats even went retarded today, with the Colorado players passing up the Vancouver guys in most goals and most points in the season.

Rage.

Wednesday starts playoffs and the end of shaving until its over.

Ever wake up one morning and just think to yourself, "Fuck this is going to be a shitty day." Yeah, thats what it was like this morning even though I knew I was going to see Phonebooth with James/Aaron/Ki and then going to the Gladiators game.

With the huge delay because of the DC sniper and then seeing it was only 80 minutes, I thought Phone Booth was doomed to fail. That is when my outlook on the day changed. It was completely great. Everything was just about perfect in the movie. No lame plot twists that tried to be intelligent, surprisingly decent character development considering he was in a phone booth the entire movie, lots of disturbingly hysterical dialogue, and Kiefer Sutherland being insane. An excellent movie.

Then at the Gladiators game we goddamn dominated the other team. Whomped on them good!

James wanted to go to the mexican place inside Sunset, so we went. I normally hate everything, but this place was also good. 3 for 3 on things done today. While we were there James told me this story about him at Oregon State that somehow had not been revealed before. All you really need to know is that some girl told another girl that James "has a huge cock" and "he pleasures me all the time". Yep. But what the hell is with the roving bands of fucking hooligans that are wondering about Green Valley? It boggles the mind. I dont ever recall this shit 6 or 7 years ago.

Anyways, Cube 2: Hypercube premiered on Scifi tonight. Much like Phonebooth I had low expectations for this since it was being premiered on Scifi and not in theatres. The original Cube was really good, and Hypercube somehow managed to not suck. Actually it was just as good if not better (certain parts at least) then the original. Score. 4 for 4.

It was getting late so we just watched an old episode of Stargate which was insanely funny for the wrong reasons. But it also brought about huge revelations about the shows Stargate, Seaquest, Monk, and the actor Dom DeLuise.

Finally right when James was dropping me off this great song (ugh yes it was good...it was country even) about guys and what they really want and are like. Had to be there type of thing though. Speaking of having to be there, I wonder why a certain cocksucker by the name of Aaron didn't answer his phone all night. The cellphone he got so people could reach him instead of not getting answered at his house. Hrmmm....
