Ye gods! The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim have now eliminated the #2 Detroit Redwings and the #1 Dallas Stars from the playoffs. The meatloafs (Minnesota Wild) beat the Canucks by a whopping 5 goals last night, 7-2. Hockey no longer makes sense to me. If the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim win the Stanley Cup, giving the city of Anaheim two major championships this year (the Anaheim Angels won the World Series), I will refuse to watch hockey for the rest of my life. Granted this will probably happen now.

I want to go to LA to see Melotron and Covenant on the 20th. Aaron seems interested in going too. The problem lies in neither of us really wanting to drive there. But at the same time Aaron wants to go to some Utah thing, which he's not sure when or where it is. Grrr.

After James bitching out and not wanting to do anything Friday night, Saturday was semi-eventful.

Myself, Aaron, Ki and James went and saw X2 at Collonade. Movie was alright, nothing spectacular. There were some great scenes like when Nightcrawler attacked the White House. There was also alot more killing then I expected. It was a pleasant surprise to see Wolverine actually kill people, as opposed to most movies where there are all the non-fatal attacks on the bad guys.

Afterwords we went to Outback. I still think its funny that Outback seems to be the cheap place to eat in comparison to all of the other "regular" places like Applebees, Chilis, etc.

When we were finished at Outback, James and I went to blockbuster and rented some movies.

We finally rented Tigerland, and we also picked up Femme Fatale. Tigerland was nothing special or original really. Angry drill sergeants, an asshole private, hookers, and conflict between soldiers. Femme Fatale wasn't what I expected. I'm still not sure if I'm angry or not with the twist towards the end. But watching the trailer on the dvd it seemed alright because it portrayed the movie in a more accurate light. But I dont recall ever seeing that trailer, so I think thats why I was mad at the twist. It changed the movie altogether. In any event, there was a great naked lesbian scene. Damn right. There was also a Scifi movie that was comically bad. Supposedly it starred Stephen Baldwin and Billy Zane, but Stephen Baldwin died 10 minutes into it and never returned. Billy Zane was in it about 5 minutes until the end of the movie. In any event, it still sucked.

The Pistons won! It's good to know at least one Detroit team isn't shitty. I thought after they went down 3-1 in the series they were done. Somehow they won though. Good thing the NBA voted to change the first round from 5 games to 7, or else Detroit would have been toast.
