Its probably a good sign when my favorite hockey player on my favorite hockey teams scores a goal with 1.7 seconds left in the game to win it.
Gotta love it...the NHL season has returned. Games started Wednesday night and the Redwings opened at home against the Kings Thursday with a 3-2 victory. My Stevie scored the previously mentioned goal. Gooo Wings.
With the game Thursday, the sports weekend semi-kicked off. Everything is spread out this week. Hockey thursday. Michigan football Friday. UNLV football Saturday. NFL games Sunday. Throw in the baseball playoffs that I semi follow but don't watch, and it's an exciting time of year!
Went to the DMV today to renew my license. Pretty quick and painless, but I'm disturbed by the whole signature process. They used to have the little cards you filled out and then they quick scanned it to print it out on your license. Of course today I did the same, only when it came time to take my picture they made me use one of those digital pads to sign it (like what you use to sign for a CC at the store). I had been so happy because I nailed my signature perfectly on the form...only to get stuck using a broken stylus-like device that was worse then the wrong end of a crayon to sign with. Obviously my signature went to shit. Small rant, but it bugs me.
Fuck CCSN and it's web campus. It's always down. The whole purpose of having the web campus is so that people can have flexible schedules to do their work. It defeats the purpose if the campus is down periodically through the day and down almost every other night. Bastards.

Apparently Halflife 2 is being delayed until April 2004 because of the supposed incident where their source code was stolen. It hasn't been confirmed by Valve, but things don't look good. Seems convenient if you ask me...
In what seems to be a continuing trend of kick me in the ass, the air conditioning in the car has stopped producing cold air. Just regular warm air as if it was the vent. Apparently the freon in it has depleted. Wouldn't be that bad, its only like $25 a lb for it, needing probably about 2lbs. Come to find out that we're not that lucky. Not only is our car an older model, it is the last year before they changed to the newer environmental freon shit. Obviously then it has to be more expensive, $75 a lb. Even then it's not THAT bad. But then we find out that 1 of the 3 engine mounts is pretty much fucked. Thats a few hundred more.
Grrrrrr.
